Take A Fashion Dive With Modest Swimwear

Surprisingly enough, modest swimwear is becoming more popular with young women these days. Apparently, modest swimwear has many unique designs to suit the needs of their owner and gives everyone that attractive visage. The only problem is that some people do not approve of suits that may be too suggestive or exotic which is quite understandable. But that should not stop people from having fun anyway since it's not an intentional type of offense. Whatever the case may be, young adults and some adults choose modest swimwear for their day.

While still a niche market, it has grown enough of a consumer base for even the biggest names in water apparel manufacturing to take note, such as premium storied labels like Speedo and Dolfin. But why modest swimwear? It seems an odd choice, given the nature of the aquatic environment. What is modesty, and why has it become so important that even young women would choose to inconvenience themselves at the beach or the pool, a place that has traditionally been sensual and even hedonistic? How is it possible to fully enjoy oneself in a water-based environment without feeling unencumbered, anyway?

Most of the demand for modest swimwear is due to religious reasons. The rise in religious fundamentalism around the world, whether Christian, Jewish, or Islamic, has created a slowly but steadily growing market for appropriate attire in all spheres of life, even at the beach or by the pool. Modest swimwear is particularly in demand among young Muslim women who see an affirmation of their self-identities in choosing such outfits. Indeed, it is within the group of Muslim women that the most conservative designs in modest swimwear can be found, many featuring head-to-toe coverage. Christian and Jewish women are, by comparison, risque because even the most demure styles for them allow complete exposure of the head, forearms, and (lower) legs. (It should be noted that Ultra-Orthodox Jewish women will not permit exposure to the collar bone or above the elbows and knees.)

A hot topic for every parent in many parts of the world regardless or religious belief, appropriate attire is not always easily available or easily understood. For outsiders it all seems very anti-body, anti-sexuality, even anti-women. While many proponents might agree with the anti-sexuality charge, most feel themselves misunderstood on the other points. For them, modesty is not about shame but pride, honoring oneself and others by considerate actions - such as how one dresses, even at the beach or in the pool. Wearing modest swimwear, they like to point out, is also a great way to protect the skin from harmful sunshine and even seaside debris.

However, waterborne activities present a very practical problem as full enjoyment and participation generally means the complete freedom of movement that mainstream options seem to best present. And thus the challenge for designers is to meet demand by combining the best of both worlds - not an easy task when we consider that we are dealing with women, who though modest can still wish for clothing that is beautiful!

Toward The Fashion Show

Fashion show agency is just like directing a movie - coordinating all visual and practical aspects to make one final celebrated assembly. Even though fashion shows can be formed on any financial plan and for any type of audience, a game plan is essential to perform perfection.

 PREMISE of SHOW
Every fashion show must be organized based on some general concept. Is it a Back to School Fashion Show for a mall, a showcase for a local designer, or a charity fundraiser? The client promises are endless. Creativeness is the key to dress up the show any way you see fit. There are many themed actions for holidays, stylist collaborations, color/dresses/shoes/jewelry inspired concepts, and designer or retail-driven shows. Once you have a plan for your runway, the details are much easier to solidify.

 MODELS
Agency models be familiar with how to support the catwalk, but can be very luxurious. If you don't have the budget to pay industry rates, base your model search on your client's needs. Are you promoting for children line and require models under the age of 12? Is this a charity fundraiser with all ticket-holders above the age of 60? Hold a model call and position ads on free bulletins requesting possible models to show up in person to fill out appropriate sheets and take Polaroid to remember their look. This is a enormous way to build your own model base for future shows.

 FASHIONS for the RUNWAY
As the maker, you may or may not have to choose the dresses for the runway. Based on your show concept, the stylists, designers, or provisions might choose the merchandise. In any situation, make sure you are familiar with all the garments in the fashion show. Each garment should be returned in the same situation it originated. Take photos at the fashion model and have a list of all items on each model. When they come back their outfit to you after the show, check for all pieces. This way you know who is accountable for what.

 PRODUCTION
To get any show ready for the runway, you will need to harden a location to host the event, a runway or stage, lighting, music and of course, hair & makeup. Nightclubs, hotels, schools, drama hall and malls are accepted fashion show venues. However inspired spaces can be curved into runways. You may have a DJ to mix the music, a beauty salon sponsoring the hair/makeup, and a multimedia screen on the runway with store logos. Whatever your technical details, make sure the whole thing is experienced and ready to go earlier than the show.

 SCRIPT

This entire show should be printed out in a script format. Whether you have an emcee dialogue comments on each outfit or music timed out for each individual scene, the model and fashion order is enormously important to have written down. This will make it much easier to call your show and follow along with the program.

 VIP SPONSORS
On occasion, you may work with sponsors paying for the event who want more publicity onsite. Hang their banners, good deal promotional gift bags, and/or host a VIP reception for the sponsor's guests. If the sponsor is a restaurant or alcohol/beverage company, feature their creation exclusively.

With methodical planning and creativity, a fashion show can be a vast success. And so much better than a boring movie!
